Summer
Welcome to Chamonix Mountain Guides summer pages.
Despite the greatest of intentions to get this up and running by the end of winter — it‘s not quite there!
Our Mont Blanc Course is up. To get an idea about other summer trips we offer take a look at our recently launched CMGblog. Go to a post published April 16 that includes Mont Blanc, a Walker‘s Haute Route and Alpine Intro Courses. Another item about rock climbing courses and one for keen Mountain Photographers was posted April 28th.
Martin and I are currently on a road trip starting from Chamonix (late April), up to Sweden for some R&R, visiting relatives, fishing and admin. On the road again at the start of May, for some skiing and ice fishing around Abisko. We start a sail and ski trip with K2 in May, testing the latest skis in Riksgransen and then setting sail in the Lyngen Fjords of Norway. We hope to make it to Lofoten for some rock climbing if weather and conditions permit. Then on our journey south following the Norwegian coast we plan on stopping off for some ski touring or climbing.
We expect to be back in Chamonix the first week of June.
